👨‍💻 About me

I am Xinqi Chen, a senior R&D Engineer in the AI State Infra Group at ByteDance, joining through the Soaring Star Talent program. I received my Ph.D. degree in Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, advised by Professor Guangtao Xue, Professor Erci Xu, and Professor Yi-Chao Chen. From July 2022 to January 2026, I have served as a research intern in the Alibaba Innovative Research (AIR) program at Alibaba Cloud, where I collaborated with Pangu, Elastic Block Storage, and PolarDB teams. I have been a visiting student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, advised by Professor Patrick P. C. Lee.

My current research interests focus on scheduling, resource management, and performance optimization in modern storage systems and LLM systems. Specifically, I focus on developing schedulers and data prefetchers for critical modules in distributed storage systems, striving to elevate system performance and improve resource efficiency. During my first year as a Ph.D. student, I was actively engaged in the research of mobile computing and wireless sensing, with a particular emphasis on security issues such as power supply current signal attacks and electromagnetic side-channel attacks, investigating vulnerabilities in mobile devices.
